As a PhD candidate within the Epidemiology and Public Health Research Unit of the Luxembourg Institute of Health, my research focuses on the influence of various types and concentrations of proteins on carotenoid digestion and their relevance regarding aspects of bioavailability. These include matrix release, bioaccessibility, cellular uptake and transport, as well as colonic recovery and fermentation of carotenoids.
