Short research description: 

Martina Fikselova is associate professor at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. She graduated as PhD. in the field of carotenoids of the carrot for food additives production involving quality, safety and technology of natural colorants production and application. She is still focused on the research of biologically active components including carotenoids.Her research interests are the design and development of high-quality functional foods, assesssment of consumer preferences and acceptability, evaluation of new plant sources of carotenods, the effect of processing and storage. She published more than 150 papers, which are cited almost in 140 works.
She is currently Member of the national scientific groups EFSA for “Food Additives” and “GMO, novel foods and Bt foods“, member of the Slovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences, national delegate for Horizon 2020, societal challenge Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy".
